In Dec. 26 2007, Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) hiked the price of petrol from 73.50 rupees (1.16 dollars) to (now price) 80.12 rupees (1.27 U.S. dollars) per liter. More than six thousand taxies driver participants in the protest rally.
