A young child rings a peace bell at Ratnapark on the occasion of the International Peace Day. Peace for Nepal organized a program to mark the Day by ringing a peace bell to shows solidarity for peace in the country as well as the world. The International Day of Peace was established in 1981 by the United Nations as an annual observance of global non-violence and ceasefire. Every year, people in all parts of the world honour peace in various ways on 21 September. This year, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon ring the Peace Bell at United Nations Headquarters in New York in the company of the UN Messengers of Peace.
