September 04, 2007 - Devotees assembled at Krishna Mander(temple)marking the festival the birth day of Lord Krishna in Patan, a tourist centre as well as holly place of Nepal on September 04, 2007. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Krishna killed his uncle Kanksa to relieve his people from age-old tyranny, acted as a mentor for the Pandavas in their victory in the famous battle of Mahabharata and stood as a beacon of the triumph of the good over evil.
